Late 1997, Day Birger et Mikkelsen was born as the creative brainchild of the businessman, Keld Mikkelsen. Day Birger et Mikkelsen was to be a clothing brand with the main challenge to create design with personality that put a bit of party in every DAY dressing, for work or play.

The DAY Birger et Mikkelsen collection consists of very unique designs with a modern interpretation of the ethnic style with inspiration from the colonial period in India, vintage flea markets in Paris, London and New York but also from the glamour of the twenties and thirties in general.

DAY The look is created if committed by a very rich and very detailed lavish combined with the classic and very simple Danish design. Keld Mikkelsen explains for us “the eternal truth in the classics. We are inspired by various classics - we innovate and make our own Danish style”. With that in mind it is understandable that "Modern, Classical and Ethnic" the key words in describing the DAY Birger et Mikkelsen design.
