The Breton stripe is the most renowned stripe motif and forms a modern basis for countless variations. This horizontal stripe pattern often consists of two colors that alternate. Variety is showcased by among others the alternation of narrow and broad(er) stripes or a multi-colored design. The pinstripe motif is a more refined take on the Breton stripe. These stripes are often designed with a uni-colored background and a narrow vertical stripe motif. Of course, multiple design variations are possible with among others a variation in stripe thickness and color. Whether you go for a vertical - pay attention: very flattering - or horizontal stripe motif, with the striped print you can’t go wrong. 

Pleats and plisse pleats bring a contemporary approach to a striped pattern. Both pleat styles are characterized by a vertical texture that’s characterized by a folded, pressed or stitched design. A plisse pleat showcases a narrow design and pleats can vary in width.
