Fashion’s latest seasons show a comeback of the color purple and this will definitely extend into the seasons ahead. Purple doesn’t only represent a quirky and inspiring character, but also refers to a chic and royal feel and offers a spiritual undertone. Purple garments immediately attract the eye and look fashionable. Lilac is one of the must-wear trend colors of this season (and the coming seasons) and often has a cooler undertone; a hint of grey is often added to lilac creating a dusty lilac hue with a more calmer appearance. On the other hand, lavender has a more natural appeal while deep dark purple - often with a warm red undertone - has a more mysterious character. Ps. Do you want to emphasize the purple color in a look? Combine it with its complementary color yellow for a stylish contrast.

Blue offers a wide range of blue shades - referring to both the sky and the ocean - and is unmistakably an absolute favorite within the fashion industry. Dark blue looks neutral and reliable and also refers to intelligence, ambition and a feeling of reservedness - perfect for business meetings or a job interview. Dark blue is also a perfect alternative for black, offering the similar style appeal but with a softer appearance, and with equally endless styling possibilities; think of tonal color combinations, but also looks with contrasting colors. Different from dark blue, bright ocean blue represents freedom, peace and offers balance and refers to creativity and self-expression. Light blue leans more towards the sweet, loving feeling of pastel shades and creates a feeling of tranquility - just like all blue tones do.  

Black and white stand absolute opposite to each other and are the so-called non-colors; grey is a blend of the two. White often stands for purity and its neutral character creates an approachable feel. The slightly softer variant of bright white is off-white. A color that’s part of the neutrals color group and ranges from cooler tones like off-white to warmer shades like cream. And then there’s black which is a multifaceted color referring to elegance, strength and authority but also radiates a level of inaccessibility and has a harsher appearance. Black is the absolute fashion favorite thanks to its clean and versatile character and the endless styling possibilities it offers. Grey is the happy medium and just like white, it looks neutral and offers timeless and clean appeal; its colorless and non-stimulating character makes this color perfect as a supporting color or as contrast color within a look. When black looks too harsh as a base color in your look, choose a (dark) grey base.
