Get summer body ready with these 5 beauty tips

With temperatures rising, we’re bound to show more skin. But, before you trade in your sweater for sleeveless tops and your boots for sandals, there are a few beauty-related 'issues' you'll probably want to tackle first. Read: pale legs, dry skin and cracked feet. And we want you to feel your best, heading into the summer season with self-confidence. With that in mind, we’ve compiled 5 tips to bring out the summer goddess in you.

1. First things first: scrub!

You’re beautiful just the way you are, but a bit of panic is ensured as soon as warm summer sun replaces those gruelling winter months, and we slowly move towards wearing more revealing clothes. That’s why we say: start with the basics, with a thorough scrub session! This stimulates the skin’s blood flow and cell renewal by removing dead skin cells, and prevents grown-in hairs. The result? Smooth and silky soft skin with a healthy glow. Next to that, tanned skin will have a more even tone when you exfoliate regularly – whether your skin is suntanned or self-tanned.

Sun exposure dries out the skin, so always replenish after showers to keep your skin soft, smooth and radiant. Hydrating creams with hyaluronic acid are a good option to maintain hydration without leaving a greasy film.

When you’re fed-up with water, you can switch to juicy veggies and fruits like watermelon, cucumber, tomatoes, strawberries, lettuce, and the list goes on.
